Reporting & Quality

Test Trends

Trend charts on the project Overview dashboard track pass rate, duration, defects, and automation rate over time — so "is quality improving" has a chart behind it, not a guess based on the last launch you happened to look at.

Why it matters

Is quality getting better or worse?

One launch's pass rate doesn't tell you the direction. You need last month's number too, and the month before that.

Slow creep, not a single incident

Suite duration climbing 2% a week never triggers an alert — until CI takes an hour and nobody remembers when it didn't.

Flaky tests hide inside pass rate

A 95% pass rate looks healthy even when a chunk of that 5% is the same handful of flaky tests failing on repeat.

How it works

Every uploaded launch feeds the trend charts automatically — no separate setup. Filter by time range and environment to isolate what you're actually asking about, whether that's a staging regression or a quarter-over-quarter improvement.

What you get

Pass rate trend, with direction

A trend line plus a percentage-change indicator — improving, stable, or declining — not just a single snapshot number.

Duration trends at p50/p90/p99

See the typical case or launch duration alongside the worst case, over time, for both individual cases and full launches.

Automated vs. manual trend

Track how your automation rate is actually moving, not just what it happens to be today.

Filter by time range and environment

Slice by 7, 30, or 90 days (or all-time) and by environment, so a staging blip doesn't get read as a production trend.

Frequently asked questions

Where do I find test trends in Qualflare?

On the Overview dashboard — a project's home page. It's not a separately-branded page; trend charts (pass rate, case runs, defects, automation, duration) live there alongside real-time stats.

What time ranges are available?

The Overview dashboard supports common ranges like the last 7, 15, or 28 days; other trend views elsewhere in the app extend to 30, 90 days, or all-time.

What's the difference between Test Trends and AI Launch Analysis?

Test Trends shows patterns across many launches over time — is pass rate improving, is duration creeping up. AI Launch Analysis is a single-launch AI summary of what happened in one specific run. Trends tell you the direction; launch analysis tells you why one launch looked the way it did.

Can I filter trends by environment?

Yes — the Overview dashboard supports an environment facet filter alongside the time-range filter, so staging and production trends don't get mixed together.
